YUNAMI

The Yunami apple is a promising winter variety developed in Switzerland by crossing the Elstar, Maygold, and Idared varieties, combining the best qualities of its parents. The tree is medium-sized with a dense vertical crown, weak-growing and branched. It is characterized by early fruiting and produces high yields annually. The variety is resistant to diseases and pests, has good winter hardiness and moderate drought resistance, which allows it to be grown in various regions of Russia. Yunami fruits are large, uniform, with an average weight of about 200 grams, featuring a spherical, slightly flattened shape with a smooth and shiny green-yellow skin covered with a bright red blush upon ripening. The flesh is yellowish-white, dense and crisp, with predominant sweetness and a slight fruity tartness, giving the apples a refreshing and excellent taste. The fruits are ideal for fresh consumption, effectively quench thirst, and are widely used for preparing various fruit dishes. Yunami apples are characterized by high marketability, transport well, and can be stored without loss of external and taste qualities for three to four months. The variety possesses high technological characteristics and is suitable for both commercial and private horticulture. To increase yield, it is recommended to plant compatible varieties nearby, which promotes better pollination and increased fruiting.
