Rea Cadis

The Rea Cadis apple tree is a low-growing tree with a compact crown, reaching about 3.5 meters in height and up to 4 meters in width. The crown is broadly oval or round, with moderate leaf density. The tree exhibits high winter hardiness and resistance to fungal diseases and pests, ensuring stable and regular fruiting. Due to the use of the semi-dwarf rootstock 54-118, the apple tree quickly establishes itself, grows vigorously, and begins to bear fruit as early as the second or third year after planting.

The fruits of the Rea Cadis apple tree have a round, regular shape and a medium weight ranging from 160 to 250 grams, depending on the variety. The skin can be light yellow with a rich red blush and stripes or dark red with a glossy sheen. A distinctive feature of this variety is its red or pink flesh, juicy and aromatic, with a tangy-sweet flavor and a balanced harmony of acids and sugars. The flesh has a tender, fine-grained texture and high juice content, making the apples especially pleasant to eat.

The harvest period varies from late summer to early winter, allowing the apples to be used for both fresh consumption and long-term storage. The fruits can be stored in a refrigerator for up to three months, and in controlled-atmosphere chambers for up to five months. Rea Cadis apples have good transportability and can be used both in household diets and for commercial purposes. Due to their flavor qualities and beneficial biochemical properties, these apples are considered not only delicious but also nutritious.
