Tree is moderately low-growing, with a bushy, moderately dense crown. Main branches are gray, branch off the trunk at a sharp angle in early age, and are spaced out. Fruit set occurs primarily on spurs and short and long fruiting shoots.
Shoots are medium-sized, straight, rounded in cross-section, brownish-burly, bare or slightly hairy, with numerous medium-sized stipules. Buds are pressed, conical, smooth. Leaves are medium-sized, elongated, long-pointed, light green, smooth, glossy with delicate venation and finely toothed margins.
Flowers are medium-sized, small-cup-shaped, pinkish, with petals either free or closely appressed.
Fruits are large, elongated-round, well-shaped. Surface is smooth. Main color is greenish-yellow, with a covering of reddish stripes and speckles on most of the fruit. Skin is tender, smooth, dry, glossy. Peduncle is short, medium thickness, slightly curved. Calyx is medium-sized, closed. Depth and width of the calyx tube are medium. Rustiness is absent or very slight. Seed chambers are closed, medium-sized. Seeds are medium-sized, elliptical, dark brown.
Flesh is creamy, medium density, tender, fine-grained, sweet-sour, good flavor. Characterized by high content of ascorbic acid in fruits — about 27 mg/100g, dry matter — 14.7%, sugars — 12.0%, and P-active compounds — 200 mg/100g.
Fruits ripen in autumn and can be stored up to 3 months, intended for table use.
Beginning of fruiting — 5-6 years. High yield (over 250 centners per hectare). High winter hardiness. After artificial freezing in mid-winter at -40°C, bark and cambium showed no frost damage, and the degree of damage to buds and xylem did not exceed 0.5 points. Possesses monogenic resistance to scab, controlled by the Vf gene.
Advantages of the variety: resistance to scab, high winter hardiness, high yield, increased ascorbic acid content in fruits.
Disadvantages of the variety: short fruit storage period.
