ALIBEKOV'S ANNIVERSARY

The Alibekov's Anniversary apple variety is a late-winter variety bred at the Dagestans Fruit Breeding Experimental Station by crossing the Simirenko Renet and Migints (Ice) varieties. The tree is of medium height, fast-growing, with an oval crown, which ensures ease of care and harvest collection. The fruits of this variety differ in medium and large size, have a golden-yellow color with a red blush, possess a medium aroma and high disease resistance, which makes them attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The Alibekov's Anniversary variety is early-bearing, trees begin to bear fruit already in the third or fourth year after planting, which allows obtaining a harvest in a short time. High yield is one of the main advantages of the variety: the average yield reaches 14 tons per hectare, and the maximum can reach up to 36 tons. The fruits have good market and consumer qualities, including high keeping quality, which ensures their preservation during storage and transportation. The fruits ripen in the autumn period, approximately from September 1st to 10th. They weigh about 130-140 grams, have a smooth, shiny, and thin yellow skin with a blush. The flesh of the apples is creamy, fragrant, juicy, slightly spicy and sour-sweet in taste, which makes them pleasant to consume fresh and use in cooking.
