Anemone Summer Night

Genetic Resilience and Selection

The 'Letnyaya Noch' (Summer Night) anemone, developed by the Federal Research Center for Subtropical Crops (Georgia), is a professional-grade perennial cultivar. Its primary engineering focus is maximizing decorative longevity through high-level biological resistance to common horticultural pathogens.

Disease Management Profile

The variety is distinguished by its robust genetic defense mechanism against major soil-borne and foliar diseases, which is essential for consistent yields. It offers proven resistance to:

• Fusarium and Verticillium wilt: The plant exhibits strong suppression of these fungal pathogens, preventing systemic vascular blockages.
• Tobacco mosaic virus: Its resistant genotype prevents leaf tissue degradation and chlorosis.
• Cladosporiosis: Enhanced structural integrity of leaves prevents fungal spotting, preserving the plant’s health under high humidity.

Cultivation and Performance Parameters

To achieve the optimal 20–30 day flowering window, bulb planting depth must be precisely maintained at 5–8 cm. This depth optimizes the thermal environment for the root collar, ensuring vigorous bud development. The resulting blooms, 5–7 cm in diameter, feature a distinct, deep blue pigment that is highly sought after in commercial floral markets.

Designed specifically for cut flower production, 'Letnyaya Noch' demonstrates exceptional stem strength and post-harvest durability. This cultivar represents a balanced approach to perennial cultivation, where disease-free growth cycles directly correlate with premium flower quality and reliable market output.
