Anemone BERENIKA

Cultivation practices for 'Berenika' anemones

Working with the Georgian 'Berenika' selection requires a clear understanding of perennial anemone requirements. As an operator, you receive reliable planting material from the Federal Research Center, Subtropical Scientific Center of the RAS. This plant does not tolerate amateurish soil preparation: drainage must be flawless, otherwise the root system will quickly degrade during the winter season.

Technical cultivation aspects

• Planting and care: The variety demonstrates excellent establishment rates when planting depth is strictly observed. For intensive plot management, ensuring protection against waterlogging is essential.
• Flowering: The delicate pink hue requires careful placement; in direct, intense sunlight, petals may lose their saturation faster than in partial shade.
• Maintenance: Being a perennial, the plant requires periodic division of the root clump, which ensures stable flower yields and preserves the varietal traits.

'Berenika' is efficient for landscape planning due to its structural stability. Precise placement of planting material minimizes gaps in the design, while the variety's frost resistance matches the specifications provided by the selection center, significantly simplifying wintering without the need for heavy-duty covering structures.
