Sineglazka – this is a miniature anemone species, about 15 cm high, which attracts attention with its double flowers and characteristic blue eye in the center. The flowers start as pure white, and as they develop, blue outlines appear, creating an effect of a «blue eye». The flowering period usually occurs in April–May, although in colder areas, the manifestation of the blue shade may be weak or absent in the first year. Anemone leaves are three times dissected and have a beautiful structure, which adds to the plant’s decorative appeal.
For successful cultivation of sineoklazka, it is necessary to provide a semi-shaded place where the plant will be protected from direct sunlight but at the same time receive sufficient lighting. The soil should be well-drained and light, rich in organic matter; moderate moisture in partial shade is preferred. The plant does not require complicated care: it is hardy, resistant to various soils, and grows easily both in alpine hills and borders.
