Anemone Flora

Genetic Profile and Regional Adaptation

The 'Flora' anemone variety represents the outcome of research conducted by the Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Developed with a focus on climates similar to the subtropical regions of Georgia, this perennial is specifically engineered for resilience against regional temperature fluctuations. Unlike intensive hybrids, 'Flora' demonstrates robust root system development when grown in open soil conditions.

Morphological Specifications

A distinctive feature of this variety is its compact inflorescence, with flower diameters ranging between 3–5 cm. From a technical standpoint, the color profile is noteworthy: the petals exhibit a pure white base with a distinct dual-tone coloration, achieved through precise pigment distribution. This visual trait provides significant ornamental value for both landscape design and commercial floral applications.

Agronomic Considerations

• Vegetation Type: A perennial crop requiring strict adherence to the dormancy cycle of the rhizomes.
• Flowering Stability: Consistent flower size is maintained under conditions of moderate soil moisture.
• Planting Requirements: Due to its subtropical origins, the variety is sensitive to waterlogging. It requires well-drained, porous soil to prevent root issues.

Selecting 'Flora' is an ideal choice for growers focused on consistent, predictable results in mild climate zones. The variety's ability to thrive long-term without the typical loss of vigor seen in some hybrids makes it an efficient option for sustainable cultivation.
