Cherry plum Sarmatka

Seedling from open pollination of the Chinese plum variety 'Sкороплодная'. Originator — Krymskaya Experimental-Selection Station of the All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Growing named after N.I. Vavilov. Authors: G.V. Yeremin, S.N. Zabrodina. Approved for the North Caucasus region since 1977.

Medium-growing tree, broadly oval crown, medium density.

Medium-sized fruits, egg-shaped, purplish-red, with waxy coating. Flesh yellow, medium density, tangy-sweet, pleasant taste, does not detach from the stone. Fruits suitable for fresh consumption and canning.

Ripe in mid-summer — mid-July. High winter hardiness. Resistant to diseases. Self-sterile.
