Description
This variety was obtained at the K.A. Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy by A.V. Isachkin, N.V. Agafonov, and B.N. Vorobyov from seed resulting from open pollination of the 'Kubanskaya Kometa' variety. It was transferred to the State Variety Testing Center for the Central Region in 1999.
The tree is vigorous. The crown is broad-pyramidal, spreading, of medium density.
Fruits are medium-sized, weighing 23 g, egg-shaped, single-ribbed. The ventral suture is weak and superficial. Skin color is red-purple with a strong waxy bloom. The calyx is small and narrow. The fruit apex is flat. The skin is thin, dense, glossy. The pedicel is of medium length and thickness. Flesh is red, dense, very juicy. Flavor is sour-sweet, very good. The pit is large and separates easily.
Yield is average. The variety is of universal use. Cold hardiness is high. Relatively resistant to diseases.
Advantages: early-mid season ripening, high winter hardiness.
Disadvantages: self-sterile, relatively resistant to diseases.
