Description GANIBER
Actinidia 'Ganiber' – a high-yield variety of large-fruiting climber, developed at the Far East Experimental Station of VNIIR from a parent plant of Actinidia arguta. The fruits reach a mass of about 9.5 g and can weigh up to 8 kg from a single adult vine. They are dark olive or dirty green, oval with a blunt base and a weak funnel; the skin is smooth, and the pulp is tender, juicy, with a taste resembling kiwi, sometimes slightly acidic.

The plant is characterized by vigorous growth: height can reach 70–80 cm, while leaves are large, dark green, and glossy. The vine easily adapts to various lighting conditions – a light-loving plant, but also tolerant of semi-shade. It prefers moderate humidity; soils are best garden soils where sufficient drainage is ensured.

'Ganiber' is distinguished by a long flowering and fruiting period: flowers appear in spring and summer, and fruits ripen over 150 days from early May to early October. The variety is resistant to moderate frosts (zone 4a) and can be used both for amateur gardening and in commercial plantations. Thanks to its juicy fruits, beautiful appearance, and high yield, it has become a popular choice among gardeners seeking to obtain a quality kiwi fruit without complex growing conditions.
