Description Boyarin
The 'Boyarin' apricot variety was bred at the Nikitin Botanical Garden as a result of crossing the Sharard 4 and Professor Smokov varieties. This is a medium-sized tree with a compact crown of medium density, beginning to bear fruit in the fourth year after planting. The crown is well-lit due to the structure of the skeletal branches, which promotes intensive fruit development. The variety is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies and is characterized by high winter hardiness of generative buds, as well as resistance to major diseases such as clasterosporiosis and moniliosis. 'Boyarin' fruits are medium to above-average size, round in shape with slight asymmetry, featuring orange skin with a possible blush covering about half the fruit surface. The flesh is dense, medium juicy, with a pleasant sweet-and-sour taste that received a high tasting score. The pit is of medium size and separates easily from the flesh, while the seed has a sweet taste. The variety blooms in mid-late terms, with fruit ripening in the first or second week of July, slightly later than the variety Krasnoschekiy. 'Boyarin' is characterized by high and regular yields, reaching 100-120 centners per hectare, as well as good transportability and firmness of fruit attachment. Thanks to its unique qualities, including high commercial characteristics and improved biochemical composition of fruits, this variety is recommended for widespread use in agricultural plantings, replacing outdated varieties and ensuring stable production of quality products.
