Krokus

The Apricot Crocus variety is a medium-sized tree with a rounded, spreading crown of medium density and elevated skeletal branches. The tree begins fruiting in the 3-4th year after planting, which allows for a relatively quick first harvest. The crown ensures good ventilation and lighting, which contributes to the quality ripening of the fruits.

The fruits of the Apricot Crocus are large, weighing up to 74 grams, with an oval or egg-shaped form and a rounded or slightly depressed apex. Their color is orange with a beautiful crimson blush, which covers up to 25% of the fruit's surface. The fruits ripen in the first decade of July, making the variety early-ripening. The flesh of the fruits is orange, of medium density and juiciness, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste, rated at 4.5 points. The flesh texture is jointed-fibrous, which provides a good texture upon consumption.

The Crocus variety is characterized by partial self-fertility and high regular yield, reaching 12 tons per hectare. It has increased winter hardiness and disease resistance, which makes it a reliable choice for growing in various climatic conditions. The fruits are of universal purpose, suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.
