Description

The Yuganyin apricot variety represents a mid-late variety with fruits of medium weight, approximately 48-50 grams, round or slightly flat-round in shape, with bright orange skin and a crimson blush covering up to 50% of the surface. The fruit skin is smooth, shiny, and sparsely hairy, while the flesh is orange, dense, fused-fibrous, and of medium juiciness with a sweet-and-sour taste, which received a high tasting score of 4.1 points. The pit is of medium size and easily separates from the flesh; its kernel is sweet, making the fruits convenient for consumption and processing.

The Yuganyin variety tree is dwarf with a spreading crown of medium density and straight red-brown shoots. Leaves are medium-sized, round, smooth, and matte. The variety is characterized by regular and high yield, reaching about 12.9 tons per hectare, as well as good winter hardiness and increased disease resistance. Fruits possess excellent table and canning qualities, as well as high transportability, which allows them to maintain freshness during transport.

Fruit ripening occurs in the second decade of July, making the variety convenient for harvesting and further use. Thanks to its characteristics, the Yuganyin apricot is suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing into canned goods. Its dense flesh and pleasant taste with sweet-and-sour notes make this variety universal and in demand among gardeners and consumers.
