Description AGEEVA'S MEMORY
The 'Ageeva's Memory' apricot variety was bred at the Nikitsky Botanical Garden through the cross-breeding of 'Aviator' and 'Olymp' varieties. The tree is medium-sized with a wide pyramidal or broom-shaped crown of medium density and elevated skeletal branches. It begins bearing fruit 4-5 years after planting. The bark on the trunk and main limbs is fissured, gray-brown; shoots are straight, medium length and thickness, with white lenticels. Leaves are wide-oval, medium or large size, green and matte, with strong wavy edges and serrated teeth. Flowers are medium-sized with five white petals; the stigma is positioned above the stamens.

The fruit of 'Ageeva's Memory' apricot is above-average size, weighing about 50 grams, wide-oval or ovoid with a persistent style remnant on the apex and a rounded top with a small beak. The skin is of medium density, light orange with a bright pink or crimson blush covering up to 50% of the fruit's surface. The flesh is light orange, medium density and juiciness, fused-fibrous, with a pleasant sweet-sour flavor rated 4.5 out of 5. The pit is medium-sized, oval, light brown, separates well from the flesh, and the seed is sweet. The fruits are of universal use, containing 19.1% dry matter, 13.3% sugars, 1.16% acids, 1.43% pectic substances, and 7.0 mg/100 g of vitamin C.

The variety is characterized by high yield – up to 150-180 centners per hectare, regular fruiting, and good transportability. It ripens in the first half of July, belonging to the early-mid ripening period. The variety has enhanced winter hardiness and average disease resistance. 'Ageeva's Memory' is a self-fruitful variety, which facilitates its cultivation and ensures a stable yield in the North Caucasus region.
