JEBI FLAVA

JEBI FLAVA is a mid-early spring barley variety intended for grain-forage and malting use. The plant is characterized by medium height and a semi-upright bush, with short stems and a medium-density pyramid-cylindrical ear covered with a strong waxy bloom. The grain is large, with a non-hairy ventral furrow and embracing lodicules; the 1,000-grain mass varies from 38 to 55 grams. The vegetative period ranges from 69 to 80 days, ensuring early heading and allowing efficient use of the variety in various climatic conditions. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, including dwarf rust, powdery mildew, root rots, and loose smut. Furthermore, JEBI FLAVA exhibits good resistance to lodging and drought, as well as low drooping of the stem and ear, which contributes to crop preservation and quality improvement. These characteristics make the variety universal and recommended for cultivation in all regions where barley is grown. The variety's yield is stable and high: in various regions it reaches from 32 to 40.4 centners per hectare. Protein content in the grain is up to 12.8%, which meets quality requirements for grain for feeding and malting purposes.
