Barley BEATRICE

Precision German Genetics for Modern Farming

The Beatrice barley variety, brought to market by Saaten-Union, represents a refined approach to spring cereal cultivation. Developed through the expert breeding programs of Nordsaat Saatzucht, this variety is engineered to thrive within the demanding parameters of modern intensive agriculture. It is a choice for farmers who prioritize structural integrity and yield consistency in their spring crop portfolio.

Key Agronomic Attributes

Standing at a compact 50-60 cm, Beatrice is specifically designed to resist lodging, a critical advantage during turbulent weather conditions. With a maturity window spanning 90-100 days, this barley capitalizes on early-season moisture, ensuring strong grain development before the onset of peak summer heat.

• Grain Quality: With a thousand-grain weight of 44-46 grams, Beatrice produces a plump, high-quality grain sample.
• Disease Management: Strong genetic resistance to Helminthosporium and onion stem smut reduces the need for heavy fungicide intervention, lowering overall production costs.

Beatrice is more than just a variety; it is a reliable tool for commercial grain production. Its adaptability across different soil types, combined with the rigorous testing standards of Nordsaat Saatzucht and Saaten-Union, makes it a staple for operations that value consistency, performance, and professional-grade genetics.
