Wheat Zorya Ukrainy

Spelt wheat of the 'Zorya Ukrainy' variety is a winter-hardy hexaploid type of wheat, adapted for cultivation across the entire territory of Ukraine. This variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching up to 55 centners per hectare, and resistance to various diseases such as brown rust, snow mold, yellow spot, root rots, septoria, and Fusarium head blight. Plants reach a height of 110–120 cm, have a tillering coefficient of 1.2, and ears approximately 16 cm long. The seeding rate is 5–5.5 million seeds per hectare. The 'Zorya Ukrainy' spelt grain is characterized by high protein content (18–22%) and protein (23–26%), as well as crude gluten (48–49%). The test weight is 650 g/l, and the thousand-grain weight is 40–42 grams. Due to its biochemical properties, spelt loses less yield under nutrient deficiency and contains more macroelements compared to common wheat. This makes it especially valuable for the production of bread, cereals, pasta, and infant food. A distinctive feature of this variety is its mild nutty flavor, which sets it apart from other types of spelt. Thanks to its high frost resistance at various growth stages and excellent quality characteristics, 'Zorya Ukrainy' spelt is in demand among producers and consumers. It ensures a stable yield and high product quality, making it a profitable choice for farmers and the food industry.
