Wheat Zelenii Gai

Stable yields in challenging climate conditions

The winter wheat variety "Zelenyi Hai," developed by the Poltava State Agrarian Academy, is a breeding product tailored for farmers who prioritize reliability over high-risk records. Unlike many intensive hybrids that require perfect conditions, this variety demonstrates remarkable resilience even under adverse weather factors.

Why choose Zelenyi Hai?

• Natural Immunity: Its genetic resistance to leaf rust, Fusarium head blight, and powdery mildew allows for significant savings on fungicide treatments, lowering the cost per ton of grain.
• Technological Flexibility: With a growing season of 90–100 days, this variety is highly predictable. It fits perfectly into crop rotations where clearing the field on time for the next crop is essential.
• Adaptability: Bred specifically for the conditions of the Ukrainian steppes and forest-steppes, this variety handles local temperature stresses much better than varieties imported from abroad that were adapted to different climates.

Who is this variety for? "Zelenyi Hai" is an optimal solution for farms using both conventional and intensive technologies that seek to minimize biological risks. It is a true "workhorse" that does not require excessive attention but consistently delivers on yield potential. Its primary strength lies in its resistance to key fungal infections, which is critical in regions with high humidity during the grain-filling stage.

If you are looking for predictability and reliability in every drill, this variety from Poltava's breeders will prove its worth in the field, maintaining grain quality even when management inputs are at the lower end of the spectrum.
