Wheat Zaporuka

Cultivation practice: why Zaporuka forgives technical errors

When working with wheat that yields 8-9 tons per hectare, the 'serviceability' of the crop becomes a top priority. Zaporuka, developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute, is a tool for those who prefer not to gamble with lodging.

Operational characteristics

• Lodging resistance: This is the variety's core strength. Even with heavy nitrogen applications, the stem holds up perfectly, eliminating harvesting headaches and grain losses during the combine phase.
• Development type: A typical winter form with excellent winter hardiness. It closes the canopy quickly, suppressing weeds, which saves your herbicide budget.
• Response to management: The variety responds well to intensive farming practices. With proper fertilization, a potential of 8-9 tons is not just marketing hype—it is an achievable result without excessive spending on growth regulators.

Working with this variety is comfortable; it does not require the 'high-maintenance' protocols often associated with sensitive imported hybrids. Zaporuka delivers consistency, which is vital for crop rotation planning. It is a reliable 'workhorse' that forgives minor technological errors and consistently provides a solid yield.
