ZARECHNAYA

Zarechnaya is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) belonging to the erytrospermum subspecies. It is a medium-maturing and tall variety with a vegetation period ranging from 264 to 309 days. It exhibits moderate winter hardiness and drought resistance comparable to standards, making it suitable for cultivation in the Central-Black Earth region, specifically in the Oryol region. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 40 to 51 grams, while the average yield in the region reaches 53.5 centners per hectare. The baking qualities of the variety are rated as good, allowing the grain to be used for producing high-quality flour and bakery products.

Additionally, Zarechnaya wheat is widely used in animal husbandry as fodder grain for compound feed production. It contains high levels of protein, B and E vitamins, as well as amino acids important for animal growth, such as lysine, and trace elements like phosphorus. For fodder use, the grain must have a moisture content of no more than 15%, which ensures good storage and nutritional value. However, this variety is not intended for direct human consumption.

Winter wheat, to which Zarechnaya belongs, is one of the most important grain crops in the country, holding leading positions in terms of sown areas. Due to its agronomic characteristics and nutritional properties, this variety is in demand among agricultural producers and in animal husbandry, making it a versatile and economically viable choice for farmers.
