Donchanka 3 — a variety of hard winter wheat (Triticum durum Desf.), included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region and recommended for cultivation in Rostov Oblast, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais, as well as the Adygea Republic. This medium-early and medium-maturing variety is characterized by a vegetation period of 208 to 287 days and plant height of 64 to 97 cm. Plants have cylindrical or pyramidal medium-length and density ears with white coloration, elongated kernels with medium-length awns. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 34 to 52 grams, ensuring high grain commercial value.

The variety exhibits good lodging resistance, which varies from medium to high depending on the cultivation region. Cold resistance of Donchanka 3 is medium or slightly above medium, while drought resistance is at standard or higher levels, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. The variety reacts differently to harmful diseases: it is moderately resistant to brown rust, weakly affected by powdery mildew and septoria, but susceptible to stem rust.

The main purpose of the variety is to produce high-quality grain for pasta and coarse food products. The yield of Donchanka 3 in different zones of the North Caucasus region averages from 34 to 46 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 77.8 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity.
