The DKC5206 corn hybrid is a mid-late maturing variety with high yield potential, suitable for universal use for grain or silage. It is characterized by strong greenness and can achieve record yields under favorable conditions and proper cultivation techniques. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in all agroclimatic zones and on various soil types, including conditions with normal and even limited moisture, making it a universal solution for different regions.
DKC5206 has high resistance to major stalk and ear diseases, especially fusarium, and possesses a well-developed root system that ensures resistance to lodging. This hybrid is characterized by high cold tolerance, allowing successful cultivation at cooler temperatures. It tolerates monoculture and prolonged crop rotations, enhancing the flexibility of agronomic practices and reducing cultivation risks.
For sowing, soil temperature of 9°C is recommended, as well as traditional or minimal primary soil preparation. The hybrid responds well to high levels of mineral nutrition and can be grown on both irrigated and rainfed lands. Practical trials showed yields up to 138.8 centners per hectare at grain moisture around 18.6%, and silage yields reached 580 centners per hectare, confirming high productivity and quality of the harvest.
