DAR ZERNOGOROD

DAR ZERNOGOROD is a medium-early maturing, semi-dwarf variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). This variety is characterized by high ecological plasticity and is adapted for cultivation in various soil and climatic conditions, including the Right Bank areas with chernozem and chestnut soils, as well as the Left Bank area of the Volgograd region. The vegetative period ranges from 223 to 296 days, and the mass of 1000 grains varies between 35.7–48 g, indicating medium-sized grain with high quality. DAR ZERNOGOROD exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, ensuring harvest stability. The variety demonstrates high drought tolerance, frost resistance, and heat tolerance, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. Disease resistance is expressed in high resistance to brown rust and powdery bunt, as well as moderate resistance to powdery mildew and septoria. Average yield of the variety reaches 3.49 t/ha, with maximum indicators up to 5.47 t/ha, confirming its productivity. The grain quality of DAR ZERNOGOROD meets high standards: protein content is 13.10–15.09%, gluten is 24.9–30.3%, and grain natural weight is 802–829 g/L. The grain belongs to strong varieties, making it particularly valuable for the baking industry. The recommended sowing rate is 5.0–5.5 million viable seeds per hectare, and sowing dates may vary depending on the growing zone, including the possibility of late sowing.
