Soft winter wheat variety ARENA® is a high-quality grain variety intended for the food industry and flour production. This variety is distinguished by its excellent baking and milling qualities, making it in demand for making bread, cereals, confectionery, and other food products. ARENA has stable development on various soil types, which ensures crop reliability under different climatic conditions.
Plants of the ARENA variety are characterized by a short stem with a height of 95-98 cm and high resistance to lodging. The variety is early-maturing, with yields reaching 7.8 centners/hectare in variety trials, and up to 107 centners/hectare in some regions. It has high frost resistance and drought resistance, which allows for successful cultivation in the Central, Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, and Western Siberia regions of Russia, as well as in the Lipetsk and Rostov regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol krais.
ARENA is resistant to a number of diseases, including yellow rust, septoria, and loose smut, as well as having moderate resistance to brown rust, powdery mildew, and viral infections. Moderately susceptible to fusarium head blight, the variety requires adherence to agro-technical measures to maintain crop health. The recommended sowing rate is 4-5 million viable seeds per hectare, which contributes to optimal plant development and high yield.
