Sirena Odeska — a universal variety of winter wheat of intensive type, characterized by high adaptability and plasticity, allowing its cultivation on various agrofond and after various predecessors. This variety belongs to the medium-height group with a semi-erect plant type, has a short, thick and strong stem, ensuring high resistance to lodging. The ear is racemose, 9-10 cm long, dense, with 23 spikelets per 10 cm of stem, white in color, with lanceolate glumes and medium-length awns, not exceeding the length of the ear. The grain is red, large, egg-shaped with a shallow hilum. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, drought and heat resistance, as well as resistance to the most common diseases, such as brown rust, stem rust and powdery mildew. Disease resistance ratings are 3-5 points, indicating reliable plant protection. Thanks to these properties, Sirena Odeska withstands adverse climatic conditions and ensures a stable yield. The yield of this variety is high, ranging from 7.8 to 11.8 tons per hectare, with protein content of 14.2–14.4 % and flour strength of 390–418 N.E. The thousand-grain weight varies between 36.2–44.4 g. These characteristics make Sirena Odeska an attractive choice for producers seeking high-quality grain of strong and high-yielding wheat. The variety is recommended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, especially on soils with various predecessors, including less favorable conditions.
