Winter soft wheat Lira Odeska is a high-yielding intensive variety intended for cultivation in various crop rotations, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie zones of Ukraine. This variety is characterized by high resistance to extreme drought conditions, lodging, shattering, and grain germination in the ear, as well as enhanced frost resistance and winter hardiness. The vegetative period is 283-285 days, corresponding to medium-late maturity dates.

Plants of the Lira Odeska variety have an average height of 86-102 cm, depending on growing conditions. The sowing rate is 4.5-5.5 million grains per hectare, ensuring a productivity potential of 7.8 to 11.8 tons per hectare. The grain is characterized by high quality: protein content ranges from 13.2% to 13.8%, gluten content from 29.4% to 33.6%, and the mass of 1000 grains reaches 40.9-42.4 grams. Flour strength is in the range of 390-418 AE, indicating high-quality raw materials for processing.

The Lira Odeska variety also exhibits good resistance to major wheat diseases, including brown and stem rust, as well as powdery mildew. Due to its agronomic characteristics and grain quality, this variety is widely used as first-class seed material and meets the requirements of the highest standards for soft wheat. It is suitable for intensive farming and ensures stable yields even in complex climatic conditions.
