Wheat LIRA 98

Consistency and Yield Potential: LIRA 98 Winter Wheat

Selecting the «LIRA 98» variety from Fgbun Hfits Dvo Ran is a strategic choice for farmers aiming for high-quality grain with predictable returns, even under challenging climatic conditions. As a soft winter wheat, this variety shows remarkable adaptability, making it a reliable tool in crop rotations for farms utilizing intensive cultivation technologies.

Agronomic Characteristics and Development

With a vegetation period of 280–290 days, the variety integrates perfectly into cycles of autumn sowing and spring growth resumption. The plants reach a height of 80–90 cm, and combined with strong lodging resistance, they ensure harvest efficiency without significant loss, even at high yield levels.

Practical sowing advice: to establish an optimal crop stand, aim for a productive stem density of 4.5–5.0 million units per hectare. These parameters ensure efficient utilization of soil nutrients and available moisture.

Grain Quality and Disease Resistance

The standout feature of this variety is its phytosanitary reliability. LIRA 98 demonstrates high resistance to brown rust, stem rust, and powdery mildew, which significantly reduces the need for heavy pesticide application during the growing season. At harvest, you can expect grain with a thousand-kernel weight (TKW) of 40–45 grams and a gluten content of 25–30%, meeting the strict standards for food-grade wheat.

Field Performance

The potential yield range of 7 to 11 tons per hectare positions this variety among the most productive options for commercial farming. Consistent grain filling and durability against adverse environmental factors make «LIRA 98» an ideal choice for producers looking to maximize profitability per hectare while minimizing the risk of crop loss due to fungal outbreaks.
