Wheat Sailor

French breeding for high yields

Winter wheat "Sailor" from the French breeding company Secobra Recherches S.A.S. is a choice for agronomists committed to intensive farming technologies and the maximum realization of their fields' genetic potential. In an era of unpredictable climate conditions, "Sailor" demonstrates stability backed by excellent winter hardiness (8 points), allowing the variety to withstand the thermal swings of the autumn-winter period.

Agronomic Advantages

The core development strategy for this variety focused on phytosanitary resistance. With the rising threat of infectious backgrounds in recent years, "Sailor" acts as a reliable crop protector. Its resistance to brown rust, septoria, and root rot significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, helping to optimize crop protection budgets.

• Yield Potential: Up to 9-10 tons per hectare under intensive nutrition management.
• Manageability: Good lodging resistance simplifies the harvesting process, even at high yield levels.
• Vegetation Period: 280–290 days, characteristic of intensive-type varieties that require strict adherence to sowing schedules.

Who should choose "Sailor"?

This variety is optimal for farms with fertile soils and a high level of agronomic expertise. It performs best in regions where the risk of powdery mildew, fusarium, or spotting diseases is above average. If your goal is high-quality grain with predictable results and minimal exposure to crop disease risks, "Sailor" will serve as the foundation of your production program.
