Wheat RGT BELALUR

French breeding for modern fields

RGT BELALUR is RAGT 2n's response to the challenges of a changing climate. Registered in Ukraine in 2024, this complex hybrid of durum wheat (facultative type) demonstrates an adaptability often lacking in traditional varieties. Its genetic potential unfolds across a wide range of environments: from the arid Steppe to the humid Polissya.

Field performance and resilience

The key feature of BELALUR lies in its ability to mitigate environmental stress. As a facultative variety, the hybrid offers unique flexibility in sowing dates, allowing agronomists to plan their campaigns with greater precision. In the Steppe zone, where heat and moisture deficit are critical factors, the hybrid shows high tolerance to heat stress, maintaining photosynthetic activity in the leaves longer than standard varieties.

• Lodging resistance: The complex hybrid structure provides a robust stem capable of withstanding heavy rainfall without compromising grain quality.
• Phytosanitary profile: RAGT 2n genetics are traditionally focused on reducing fungicide dependency. BELALUR demonstrates high resistance to key pathogens common in the SLP zones (Steppe, Forest-Steppe, Polissya).
• Adaptability: The hybrid successfully mitigates the risks of sudden temperature fluctuations, making it a reliable tool for farms operating in unstable weather conditions.

Choosing RGT BELALUR is an investment in the stability of your durum wheat harvest. Thanks to 2024 breeding standards, the hybrid incorporates the latest advancements in European agricultural science, ensuring not only high yields but also the superior gluten quality required by the processing industry.
