FORTUNO — an early hybrid corn for silage purposes, characterized by high growth energy in early development stages. This hybrid features a flinty-ridged kernel type with a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 280 to 300 grams and starch content in the grain up to 75%. The vegetation period is 103–108 days, making it suitable for various climatic conditions. Plant height reaches 250–270 cm, with ear attachment height of 100–120 cm, facilitating harvesting and high productivity.

The FORTUNO corn ear forms with 12–14 rows and 26–30 kernels per row, totaling 360–480 kernels per ear. The hybrid exhibits excellent qualitative indicators for vegetative mass and grain, making it particularly valuable for silage production. Yield potential reaches 130 centners per hectare, with average yields across different regions varying from 12.23 to 19.95 tons per hectare. Recommended planting density is 80–100 thousand plants per hectare, with optimal density at harvest time of 70–90 thousand per hectare.

FORTUNO possesses high resistance to various diseases, including Helminthosporium, root rots, Fusarium, and ear mold, ensuring reliable cultivation. The hybrid also demonstrates high resistance to lodging and stem breakage, as well as good cold tolerance and drought resistance. These characteristics make it a versatile and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable silage corn yields.
