Depending on weather conditions, pre- or post-sowing harrowing is recommended to improve seed-soil contact and enhance energy efficiency of the cultivation process. The optimal seed planting depth is approximately 4 cm, at which high field germination (around 87.6%) is achieved; planting deeper than 4 cm results in delayed emergence and phenological phases.
