ES YunKai

ES YunKai — a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid sweet corn with FAO 320, introduced in 2019. This hybrid is characterized by high grain moisture content (15-17%) and a creamy, dent corn kernel. The ear matures even while the stalk is still green, making ES YunKai suitable for cultivation as silage or grain. The hybrid's yield potential reaches 140 ц/ha, with maximum yields achievable even with minimal mineral fertilizer application.

Plants grow to a height of 220-230 cm, with ear attachment height of 90-100 cm. Each row contains 28-32 kernels, with ear rows varying from 14 to 18. The ear stalk color is yellow. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including helminthosporiosis, fusarium, smut, rust, and root rot and powdery mildew, with disease resistance ratings of 8-9 points. Additionally, ES YunKai demonstrates high drought tolerance and resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

To achieve maximum yield potential, foliar application of growth stimulators such as REGOPANT with microelements (50 ml/ha) or STIMPOL (25 ml/ha) is recommended, especially to alleviate stress after herbicide application 7-10 days later. Microelement application, such as zinc monohelate or ZINCOFOS at 1 liter per hectare during the 6-10 leaf stage before tassel emergence, is also critical. This agronomic practice promotes pollen release and ear formation, significantly improving yield quality and quantity. Recommended seeding rates vary by region: from 55,000 to 85,000 seeds per hectare.
