Description Kiriya
Wheat variety Kiriya is a short-stemmed, medium-early winter wheat with high tillering and plant height ranging from 65 to 86 cm. This variety is characterized by enhanced winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, ensuring reliable yield even under challenging climatic conditions. Kiriya does not shatter and exhibits high drought resistance, making it especially valuable for cultivation in the Steppe zone.

The Kiriya variety is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 5.0 to 7.0 tons per hectare, and in the Steppe zone, yields may reach approximately 96.1 c/ha. The grain has strong quality characteristics with protein content ranging from 13.1% to 13.9%, making it suitable for producing high-quality food grain. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5–5.0 million germinating seeds per hectare.

The efficiency of using mineral fertilizers for growing Kiriya wheat has been confirmed by research, which demonstrated high economic efficiency of granular fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate. Application of these fertilizers contributes to significant yield increases while using less active ingredient, making the cultivation technology of Kiriya economically viable and environmentally safe.
