The winter soft wheat variety Ilvina is characterized by high resistance to powdery mildew and brown leaf rust, allowing for stable yields without the mandatory application of fungicides. This feature makes the variety attractive for cultivation in conditions where minimization of chemical protection is a priority. During research, Ilvina showed good yield and grain quality indicators, confirming its competitiveness among new and regionalized varieties.
Analysis of yield and grain quality of the Ilvina variety, conducted on gray forest soil under variable weather conditions, revealed high grain bulk weight values — up to 792 g/l, as well as significant protein content — about 15.1%. These indicators indicate high grain quality, which is important for the food industry. Moreover, the variety demonstrates good stability of indicators in different years, which is confirmed by comparison with other varieties in terms of 1000-grain weight and gluten content.
In the framework of scientific experiments, the Ilvina variety participated in trials with the application of new fertilizers, biopreparations, and fungicidal seed treatments, contributing to increased resistance and productivity of crops. These studies are aimed at improving agronomic practices and ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. Thus, Ilvina represents a promising winter wheat variety with good agronomic characteristics and high grain quality, suitable for cultivation in regions with variable climate.
