Description SOLFERINO
Solferino is an early-maturing hybrid of sweet corn, intended for cultivation in open fields. The vegetative period from emergence to technical maturity is approximately 70-75 days, enabling a quick harvest. Plants reach a height of 170-185 cm, exhibit excellent germination and good growth even in cold conditions, making this hybrid resistant to adverse climatic factors.

The ears of Solferino corn have a conical shape, about 19 cm in length and approximately 5 cm in diameter. The kernels are yellow, juicy, and sweet, with a depth of about 11-12 mm and up to 14 rows. Due to its taste qualities, corn is used for boiling, canning, and freezing. To extend the period of harvesting fresh ears, it is recommended to plant with intervals of 10-15 days.

The Solferino hybrid demonstrates good resistance to various diseases, including Stewart's wilt, leaf helminthosporiosis, rust, and southern leaf spot. It is also resistant to herbicides containing the active ingredientnicosulfuron. Among its advantages are high yields up to 21 tons per hectare, rapid growth start, which aids in effective weed suppression, and a longer harvest period without quality loss, which can last 5-7 days.
