Jamala wheat is a super-sweet Sh2 hybrid intended for the main market. The grain has a bright yellow color and high sugar content, exceeding 22%, which ensures excellent taste qualities. Cylindrical ears reach a length of more than 23 cm, and the maturation period is medium, lasting 77-79 days. High yield reaches 30-40 thousand ears per hectare when proper cultivation technology is followed.
The plants exhibit high drought and heat tolerance, enabling successful cultivation under stressful conditions. The hybrid possesses strong immunity to most fungal diseases of corn, thanks to treatment of seeds with contact-systemic fungicides Maxim XL and Vitavax 200FF, as well as application of the Radix Perfecta technology based on EM-technologies for drought protection. Plant height reaches up to 180 cm, promoting the formation of large and uniform ears.
Jamala is suitable for marketing, processing, and fresh consumption. The sowing rate is 55-65 thousand seeds per hectare, with planting depth of 2-5 cm at soil temperature not lower than +12°C. The hybrid demonstrates excellent storage and transport stability, as well as high yield of marketable mass, making it an advantageous choice for farmers and processors.
