DONSKAYA BEZOSTAIA is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), belonging to the lutescens sub-type. The plant is medium-height, ranging from 72 to 110 cm, with an erect or intermediate bush type. The ear is cylindrical, white, medium length and density, awnless or with very short awn-like appendages. The grain is ovate, red, vitreous, medium-sized, with a 1000-grain mass varying from 31.9 to 45 grams. The straw is hollow, medium thickness, and strong; leaves are glabrous with very weak or absent waxy coating. The variety is distinguished by high frost hardiness and winter hardiness, resistant to lodging, ice crust, and waterlogging. It shows medium or above-medium resistance to brown and yellow rust, but requires mandatory seed treatment and fungicidal treatments due to susceptibility to powdery mildew, septoria, and solid bunt. The vegetative period ranges from 221 to 296 days, making it a medium-early variety. DONSKAYA BEZOSTAIA forms well, producing from 800 to 1000 ears per square meter. Yield is high: average figures reach 5.3 tons per hectare, while maximum yields can reach up to 8.9 tons per hectare; in some regions and conditions, yield may exceed 10 tons per hectare. The variety possesses excellent baking qualities and ranks among strong wheat varieties, making it in demand for cultivation in the Central Black Soil, North Caucasian, and Lower Volga regions.
