Hybrid sweet corn DKC4351 is a high-yielding variety with high grain and silage quality. It belongs to the mid-late maturity group (FAO 350) and has a dent kernel type. Plants are strong with a robust root system, stem height reaches 240-250 cm, and ear attachment height is 100-110 cm. The ear contains 16-20 rows of kernels, with 35-38 kernels per row, providing a total kernel count of 550 to 650 per ear. The grain features high starch content, exceeding 72%. DKC4351 exhibits high resistance to adverse conditions: it tolerates drought well, has high cold resistance, and is resistant to common corn diseases such as common smut, fusarium, and stalk and root rot. The hybrid shows rapid moisture shedding at maturity, facilitating harvest and improving yield quality. Initial growth energy and variety plasticity are rated high, ensuring stability and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. Recommended growing zones include all agroclimatic zones of Ukraine: Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. The hybrid is suitable for monoculture and can be successfully used with conventional, minimum, and No-Tillage soil preparation methods. Soil temperature for planting should not be lower than 7-8°C. DKC4351 is used not only for grain and silage production but also for biofuel production, including biogas and bioethanol, making it a versatile and economically beneficial choice for farmers.
