OMSKAYA 33

Omskaya 33 is a medium-maturing to medium-late soft spring wheat variety belonging to the Lutescens group. The vegetative period varies by growing region, ranging from 76 to 96 days. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 32 to 39 grams, indicating good grain development. The variety is characterized by medium plant height and lodging resistance comparable to standard varieties, ensuring harvest stability under various weather conditions.

Omskaya 33 is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Central Volga region, the Southern forest-steppe of the Omsk region's lowlands, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan and the Penza region. The variety demonstrates good baking qualities, making it in demand for flour and bakery product production. The maximum registered yield reached 57.6 centners per hectare, confirming the high productivity of the variety under optimal growing conditions.

The variety possesses drought resistance at the standard level, although it is susceptible to certain diseases such as powdery mildew and brown rust. Under field conditions, severe infection by loose smut was noted, while the variety is less susceptible to covered smut compared to standard varieties. Protein content in the grain reaches 12.5%, and raw gluten content reaches 30.4%, which positively affects flour quality and end products.
