The TEMP® watermelon is an early-maturing variety developed for high yields and excellent fruit quality. The maturation period is 65-70 days, which allows for a harvest in a short time. Fruits of this variety have a medium size, weighing from 3 to 5 kilograms, with juicy, sweet, and aromatic flesh, making them particularly attractive to consumers.
This watermelon variety is characterized by high productivity and yield stability, making it an ideal choice for both home growing and farm operations. The TEMP watermelon is well adapted to various growing conditions, but like all watermelons, it requires plenty of sun, heat, and well-warmed soil. For successful plant development, a temperature of not lower than +15 °C for seed germination and from +22 to +30 °C for full vine and fruit development is necessary.
The watermelon belongs to annual plants with long creeping vines and a powerful root system. It does not tolerate frosts well, especially during the seedling and budding phases, so in more northern regions, the seedling method and film coverings are recommended. With proper care, including sufficient heat, moisture, and loose nutrient-rich soil, the TEMP variety can produce fruits weighing from 2 to 10 kilograms even in moderate climates.
