Amaltea F1 is an early seedless hybrid of the Shuga Baby type, developed by Dutch breeding, suitable for cultivation in open ground and under plastic covers. The vegetative period is 62-65 days from planting, allowing for early harvest. The plant is strong, robust, and well-leafed, with high stress resistance and productivity. For successful pollination, it is recommended to grow it alongside pollinator varieties such as Bretton F1 or Yukon F1, at a planting density of up to 6-8 thousand plants per hectare. The fruits of Amaltea F1 are round, uniform, weighing 3-5 kg. The skin is dark green with a dense waxy coating, providing good protection for the fruit and maintaining its freshness. The flesh is bright red, crisp, seedless, hollow-free, and vein-free, making the melon especially attractive to consumers. Sugar content in the flesh reaches 12-13%, which is high for early varieties and ensures a rich sweet taste and aroma with abundant juice. The Amaltea F1 hybrid is primarily grown for the fresh market, where its high taste appeal and fruit quality are valued. Due to its characteristics, this melon is suitable for various regions of Ukraine and can be successfully cultivated both in open ground and under temporary plastic covers. This variety is distinguished by stable yield and excellent marketability, making it a profitable choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain early and high-quality melon harvests.
