The Jubilar watermelon variety is a mid-season variety-population bred through long-term breeding work. The plant features a medium-vining type with a main vine length ranging from 1.2 to 1.8 meters and medium-sized, gray-green leaf blades. The fruits have a widely elliptical shape, with occasional spherical specimens, featuring smooth light-green rind and dark-green prickly stripes. Fruit mass varies from 4.7 to 6.5 kg, with a maximum reaching 10-12 kg. The rind is thin, not exceeding 1 cm, the flesh is bright red, juicy, medium density, and granular, with high sugar content — from 8 to 10%, sometimes up to 11%. Taste quality is evaluated as excellent, making this variety attractive to consumers. The Jubilar variety is characterized by high ecological plasticity and resistance to extreme growing conditions. It adapts well in both southern and northern regions, expanding its cultivation possibilities. The watermelon is resistant to diseases such as powdery mildew, anthracnose, and fusarium, affected by them to a weak degree or showing relative resistance. Due to these qualities, the variety does not require intensive irrigation and complex protective measures, which simplifies care and reduces costs during cultivation. Yield is high — marketable fruits constitute 81 to 92% of the harvest, and potential yield reaches 25 tons per hectare. Fruits store well for 40-50 days and are suitable for long-term transport, making them convenient for commercial use. For successful cultivation, seed preparation by soaking and germination is recommended, as well as fertilization with mineral fertilizers, especially phosphorus-potassium ones during fruit formation. The Jubilar variety combines high economic valuable qualities, yield stability, and excellent taste characteristics.
