Watermelon Charodey

A Reliable Choice in Ukrainian Breeding

The «Charodiy» (Sorcerer) watermelon is a notable variety developed by the IPoiB UAAS. It has established itself firmly in the early-maturing segment, offering growers a predictable harvest suited to Ukrainian climate conditions. Unlike intensive hybrids that demand specific conditions, Charodiy is characterized by its high plasticity and resilience to environmental stress.

Agronomic Characteristics

The cultivation period from germination to harvest is between 60 and 70 days. This rapid maturation allows growers to enter the market early in the season when demand for fresh produce is at its peak. The fruits are round and compact, typically weighing between 3.0 and 5.0 kg, making them highly convenient for both wholesale distribution and retail sales.

• Fruit Profile: The classic striped exterior protects a succulent, rose-colored flesh. The flavor profile meets the expectations of the fresh market, offering a refreshing and balanced sweetness.
• Market Application: This variety is versatile, performing well in both open fields and under plastic tunnels. Due to its undemanding nature, it remains a favorite for small to medium-sized farms and home gardeners alike.

Despite the proliferation of imported hybrids, this variety remains a relevant choice for those seeking time-tested genetics. It balances traditional quality with the necessary speed of development required for competitive early-season production.
