Description Sarmat
Sarmat F1 watermelon is an early hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type, intended for growing in open ground and under temporary shelters. The ripening period is 65-70 days, which allows for a harvest in a short time. The plant quickly forms a powerful foliage that effectively protects the fruits from sunburn, ensuring their preservation and quality. The fruits have an oval shape, the average weight is 8-10 kg, they are uniform and differ in large fruit size.

The watermelon flesh is a rich bright red color, dense, juicy and sweet, with a high sugar content up to 12%. The skin, 1.5-2 cm thick, has a clear boundary with the flesh, which facilitates fruit preparation. Thanks to the dense structure of the flesh, watermelons are well stored for up to two weeks without loss of taste and transported excellently, which makes the hybrid convenient for commercial growing and marketing.

The Sarmat hybrid has high resistance to main watermelon diseases, such as fusarium wilt (Fon) and anthracnose (Co), which increases crop reliability. The plant is well adapted for grafting, with the optimal rootstock considered to be Rootpauper. The recommended planting density of seedlings is 5-6 thousand plants per hectare, and with the use of grafting - about 2.5 thousand plants per hectare. All these characteristics make the Sarmat F1 watermelon an excellent choice for obtaining an early, quality and stable crop.
