Watermelon LIANKA

Lianka is a one-year-old creeping vine from the Cucurbitaceae family, also known as melothria or mouse melon. Native to Central America, this heat-loving vine is perfect for growing both in open ground and in containers on a balcony. Lianka forms a lush green wall with small oval fruits that resemble mini watermelons but taste more like cucumbers with a slight tang. Thanks to its decorativeness and edibility, it can become an original garden ornament and a kitchen highlight, while also refreshing you on hot days.

For successful lianka cultivation, certain conditions are required: sufficient light, heat, and proper care. Soil preparation, fertilizing, regular watering, and feeding are important. The plant requires adherence to a temperature regime and a proper planting scheme, which promotes good development and fruiting. Lianka is well-suited for vertical greening, saving space and creating beautiful green compositions.

Lianka fruits are rich in antioxidants and have a refreshing taste, making them beneficial and pleasant to eat. The plant is not only decorative but also functional, allowing you to diversify your diet and decorate your interior. Thanks to its unpretentiousness and unique appearance, lianka is an excellent choice for lovers of unusual crops and those who want to add something new and interesting to their garden.
