IRINKA

The Irinka watermelon is an early-maturing hybrid with a maturation period from germination to harvest of about 80-85 days. The plant is semi-vining, which facilitates care and cultivation both at home and on farms. Sowing seeds is recommended in April-May, followed by planting in the ground in May-June, with an optimal planting scheme of 70x100 or 100x100 cm.

The Irinka watermelon fruits are round, with a dense and tough green rind with dark thin stripes, weighing from 3 to 5 kg. The flesh is characterized by a pink-magenta hue, granular structure, juiciness, and a sweet taste with about 12% sugar content. Yield per plant reaches 10-15 kg, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation.

The Irinka hybrid is valued for its fast fruit maturation, disease resistance, and good transportability, which allows maintaining watermelon quality during transport. It is recommended to consume the fruits fresh, as well as use them for making candied fruits, which expands the application possibilities of this variety.
