Watermelon variety Galactica is a mid-early hybrid with a vegetation period ranging from 63 to 80 days depending on growing conditions. The fruits have a round-oval shape with dark green rind adorned with light stripes and mottled pattern. Average weight of watermelons varies from 8 to 14 kg, with individual specimens reaching up to 20 kg under sufficient watering. The rind is strong and of optimal thickness, ensuring good transportability, resistance to cracking, and allowing fruits to maintain their market appearance for a long time when stored in the field.

The flesh of Galactica watermelon is bright red, dense, crisp, and possesses high sweetness due to high sugar content. These qualities make the variety attractive for both fresh consumption and processing. The plant forms a robust leaf canopy that effectively protects fruits from sunburn, helping to preserve their quality and appearance.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium, and shows tolerance to stressful growing conditions. Galactica is adapted to various soil types and demonstrates stable high yields. Seed production is carried out in Turkey by Burgen Tohum (BT TOHUM), ensuring the quality and reliability of planting material.
