Cegléd Beauty — a medium-early ripening table grape variety developed in Hungary by crossing the white and royal pink Schloss varieties. The vines have medium growth vigor, well-ripened canes, and average winter hardiness. Leaves are medium-sized, round, five-lobed, and deeply lobed, while young shoots have a light green tip with slight pubescence.
The clusters of Cegléd Beauty are cylindrical-conical, medium-sized, and can be either loose or compact. The berries are large, round, pale-pink in color with a dense waxy bloom, possessing a firm, thick skin. The flesh is juicy and succulent, with a simple, pleasant flavor, sugar content of 15–18%, and acidity of 4–5 g/l. Due to these characteristics, the variety is excellent for fresh consumption as well as for long-term storage and transportation.
Cegléd Beauty is characterized by high yield — 80 to 100 centners per hectare. The variety is resistant to most diseases, except bacterial cancer, to which it is susceptible. Additionally, it is resistant to rot, making it promising for cultivation of transportable table grape varieties.
