Ogon'ek Tairovskiy — a table grape variety developed by specialists at the Institute of Viticulture and Enology named after V. E. Tairov in Ukraine. This variety is characterized by early ripening — 120-130 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short periods. The vines have medium vigor and medium cold tolerance, while exhibiting increased resistance to fungal diseases such as mildew and oidium, significantly simplifying care and reducing the risk of yield loss.
Bunches of Ogon'ek Tairovskiy have a cylindrical-conical shape and may be medium or high density. Bunch weight typically ranges from 500 to 700 grams, but under favorable conditions may exceed 1 kilogram. Berries are large, oval or egg-shaped, pink in color, measuring about 26 by 22 mm and weighing 5-6 grams. The flesh is juicy, succulent, with a harmonious flavor, and the thin, tender skin makes this grape particularly pleasant for fresh consumption. Sugar content reaches 16-18%, while acidity is within 7-8 g/l.
With proper care and optimal fertilizer application, vines produce high yields — from 4 to 7 kg per plant. Canes mature well, and fruiting coefficients vary from 0.7 to 1.2. For cane formation, pruning on 6-8 buds with a load of 40-50 buds per plant is recommended. Rooting of cuttings is moderate, and compatibility with rootstocks is good. Despite its medium winter hardiness, this variety is valued for its disease resistance and attractive berry appearance, though fruit transportability is low — this should be considered during transportation.
