Vetch Winner

Why "Winner" has become the go-to choice for cover cropping

Vetch "Winner" from the originator "Iksgp Naan" is exactly the case where a grain legume crop pays off every cent invested. Unlike finicky crops, this variety demonstrates amazing adaptability to the climatic conditions of Ukraine, making it an excellent tool for managing soil structure.

Operation and Sowing

"Winner" is as simple as it gets. The seeds have high germination energy, which is essential for fast vegetation. When sowing it as a green manure, the key is to hit the optimal timing for biomass accumulation. The seeding rate is standard, and the field recovery after tilling the vetch into the soil is high, as it decomposes quickly, enriching the ground with available nitrogen.

Economic Impact

The biomass grows intensively, while the root system effectively loosens compacted soil layers. Working with this variety is comfortable: it doesn't require complex agro-techniques, and the results in terms of soil structure are visible as early as the next season.
